What can you do with zKML?
The zKML token serves multiple practical utilities within its ecosystem. It is primarily used for transaction fees, enabling users to send value and interact with decentralized applications (dApps) built on the platform. Holders of zKML can participate in staking, which helps secure the network while providing the opportunity to earn rewards. Additionally, zKML may offer governance features, allowing holders to vote on proposals that influence the development and direction of the project. For developers, zKML provides essential tools for building and integrating dApps, enhancing the overall functionality of the ecosystem. The platform supports various wallets that facilitate the storage and management of zKML tokens, as well as bridges that connect to other blockchain networks. Furthermore, zKML can be utilized in DeFi applications, enabling users to access services such as lending, borrowing, and liquidity provision. Overall, zKML fosters a versatile environment for users, holders, and developers alike, promoting active participation and innovation within the blockchain space.
Is zKML still active or relevant?
zKML remains active through a recent upgrade announced in September 2023, which introduced enhancements to its core functionalities and improved user experience. The development team is currently focusing on expanding its integration capabilities within decentralized finance (DeFi) platforms, which is crucial for maintaining its relevance in the rapidly evolving crypto landscape. Additionally, zKML has established partnerships with several notable projects, enhancing its utility and presence in the ecosystem. The project continues to engage its community through active governance proposals, with recent discussions taking place in October 2023 regarding future roadmap initiatives. These indicators, including ongoing development, strategic partnerships, and community involvement, support zKML's continued relevance within the blockchain and DeFi sectors.
Who is zKML designed for?
zKML is designed for developers and data scientists, enabling them to leverage advanced machine learning capabilities within blockchain environments. It provides essential tools and resources, including SDKs and APIs, to facilitate the integration of machine learning models with decentralized applications. This allows users to build and deploy applications that can analyze and process data in a secure and efficient manner. Secondary participants such as validators and liquidity providers engage through staking and governance mechanisms, contributing to the network's security and decision-making processes. By fostering collaboration among these user groups, zKML aims to enhance the overall functionality and utility of machine learning in the blockchain space, ultimately driving innovation and adoption across various sectors.
How is zKML secured?
zKML uses a Proof of Stake (PoS) consensus mechanism, where validators are responsible for confirming transactions and maintaining the integrity of the network. Validators are selected based on the amount of zKML they stake, incentivizing them to act honestly to protect their investment. The protocol employs advanced cryptographic techniques, including zero-knowledge proofs, to ensure transaction privacy and data integrity while allowing for verification without revealing sensitive information. Incentives are aligned through staking rewards, which are distributed to validators for their participation in the network. Additionally, a slashing mechanism is in place to penalize validators who act maliciously or fail to fulfill their responsibilities, thereby discouraging dishonest behavior. The network's security is further enhanced by regular audits and governance processes that allow stakeholders to participate in decision-making, as well as a multi-client architecture that reduces the risk of centralization and single points of failure. These combined elements contribute to the overall resilience and security of the zKML network.
Has zKML faced any controversy or risks?
zKML has faced some controversy related to its privacy features and potential regulatory scrutiny. In early 2023, concerns were raised regarding the compliance of its privacy protocols with emerging regulations aimed at preventing money laundering and ensuring transparency in cryptocurrency transactions. The team responded by engaging with legal experts to assess the implications of these regulations and to ensure that zKML's operations remain compliant. Additionally, there have been discussions within the community regarding governance decisions, particularly around the allocation of funds for development and marketing. The team addressed these concerns by implementing a more transparent governance model, allowing community members to participate in decision-making processes through proposals and voting mechanisms. Ongoing risks for zKML include market volatility and the evolving regulatory landscape, which could impact its adoption and use. To mitigate these risks, the project has committed to regular audits of its smart contracts and maintaining open lines of communication with its user base to foster trust and transparency.

What is Market depth?
Market depth is a metric, which is showing the real liquidity of the markets. Due to rampant wash-trading and fake activity - volume currently isn't the most reliable indicator in the crypto space.
What is it measuring?
It's measuring 1% or 10% section of the order book from the midpoint price (1%/10% of the buy orders, and 1%/10% of the sell orders).

Why it is important to use only 1% or 10%?
It's important, because measurement of the whole order book is going to give false results due to extreme values, which can make false illusion of liquidity for a given market.
How to use it?
By default Market depth is showing the most liquid markets sorted by Combined Orders (which is a sum of buy and sell orders). This way it provides the most interesting information already. Left (green) side of the market depth bar is showing how many buy orders are open, and right (red) side of the bar is showing how many sell orders are open (both can be recalculated to BTC, ETH or any fiat we have available on the site).

Confidence
Due to rampant malicious practices in the crypto exchanges environment, we have introduced in 2019 and 2020 new ways of evaluating exchanges and one of them is - Confidence. Because it's a new metric - it's essential to know how it works.
Confidence is weighted based on 3 principles:
Based on the liquidity from order books (75%) - including overall liquidity and market depth/volume ratio, volumes included, if exchange is low volume (below 2M USD volume 24h)
Based on web traffic (20%) - using Alexa rank as a main indicator of site popularity
Based on regulation (5%) - researching and evaluating licensing for exchange - by respective institutions
Adding all of these subscores give overall main result - Confidence
Confidence is mainly based on liquidity, because it's the most important aspect of cryptocurrency exchanges. Without liquidity there is no trading, illiquid markets tend to collapse in the long term. Besides liquidity - there is also an additional factor in calculation of score - market depth/volume ratio. If volume is huge (especially when it’s growing much faster than liquidity), and market depth seems to not keep pace with - it's reducing overall score. Exchanges that keep market makers liquidity with expanding volume are those that keep all ratios in-tact and have overall score above 75-80% (it means that they have all liquidity ratios above minimum requirements, high web traffic participation, and are often regulated).

Historical Market Depth is showing the history of liquidity from the markets for a given asset. It’s a measure of combined liquidity from all integrated markets on the coinpaprika’s market depth module.
