What is Ents?
Ents is a cryptocurrency that serves as the native token of the Ents blockchain project. Designed to facilitate decentralized finance (DeFi) applications, the Ents token is used for governance, enabling holders to participate in decision-making processes within the ecosystem. Operating on the Ethereum blockchain, Ents aims to provide users with a secure and efficient platform for transactions and smart contracts.
When and how did Ents start?
Ents (ENTS) was launched in 2019 as a community-driven project aimed at creating a decentralized platform for social interactions and rewards. Developed by a team of blockchain enthusiasts, it focused on integrating social media with cryptocurrency to enhance user engagement. The project gained traction after its initial listing on several exchanges, which helped establish its presence in the crypto market. Early development was marked by community involvement and strategic partnerships that aimed to expand its ecosystem.
What’s coming up for Ents?
Ents (ENTS) is poised for significant advancements as it moves into the next phase of its roadmap. Upcoming features include the integration of decentralized finance (DeFi) tools, aimed at enhancing user engagement and utility within the ecosystem. The community plans to host a series of AMAs and workshops to gather feedback and foster collaboration among users, ensuring that development aligns with community goals. Additionally, the anticipated launch of a staking mechanism promises to incentivize long-term holding and participation. As Ents evolves, it aims to solidify its position in the crypto space by expanding its use cases and enhancing overall network functionality.
What makes Ents stand out?
Ents stands out from other cryptocurrencies due to its unique consensus mechanism that combines proof-of-stake with an innovative staking rewards system, incentivizing long-term holding and community participation. Compared to traditional cryptocurrencies, Ents also features a robust ecosystem designed for real-world use cases in sustainable finance, promoting eco-friendly projects and investments. This special feature not only enhances its tokenomics but also aligns with a growing demand for environmentally conscious solutions in the crypto space.
What can you do with Ents?
Ents is a utility token primarily used for payments within various platforms and services. Users can stake Ents to earn rewards, participate in governance decisions, and access DeFi apps and NFTs. The token's versatility enhances its functionality across the ecosystem, making it integral to user interactions.
Is Ents still active or relevant?
Ents is currently active, with ongoing development and a dedicated community presence. The coin is still traded on several exchanges, indicating sustained interest and engagement. However, recent updates from developers have been limited, which raises concerns about the long-term viability of the project.
Who is Ents designed for?
Ents is primarily built for a niche community of environmental enthusiasts and eco-conscious investors. Its target audience includes individuals and organizations looking to engage in sustainable projects and initiatives, leveraging blockchain technology to promote ecological awareness and conservation efforts. The platform is ideal for those seeking to invest in green technologies and support environmentally friendly practices.
How is Ents secured?
Ents secures its network through a unique Proof of Stake (PoS) consensus mechanism, where validators are selected to create new blocks based on the number of tokens they hold and are willing to "stake." This model enhances network security by incentivizing validators to act honestly, as they risk losing their staked assets for malicious behavior, thereby ensuring robust blockchain protection and integrity.
Has Ents faced any controversy or risks?
Ents has faced significant volatility, raising concerns among investors regarding its price stability. Additionally, the project has been scrutinized for potential risks, including allegations of a rug pull that left some users with substantial losses. These controversies highlight the need for caution, as the platform has also experienced security incidents that could undermine user trust.

What is Market depth?
Market depth is a metric, which is showing the real liquidity of the markets. Due to rampant wash-trading and fake activity - volume currently isn't the most reliable indicator in the crypto space.
What is it measuring?
It's measuring 1% or 10% section of the order book from the midpoint price (1%/10% of the buy orders, and 1%/10% of the sell orders).

Why it is important to use only 1% or 10%?
It's important, because measurement of the whole order book is going to give false results due to extreme values, which can make false illusion of liquidity for a given market.
How to use it?
By default Market depth is showing the most liquid markets sorted by Combined Orders (which is a sum of buy and sell orders). This way it provides the most interesting information already. Left (green) side of the market depth bar is showing how many buy orders are open, and right (red) side of the bar is showing how many sell orders are open (both can be recalculated to BTC, ETH or any fiat we have available on the site).

Confidence
Due to rampant malicious practices in the crypto exchanges environment, we have introduced in 2019 and 2020 new ways of evaluating exchanges and one of them is - Confidence. Because it's a new metric - it's essential to know how it works.
Confidence is weighted based on 3 principles:
Based on the liquidity from order books (75%) - including overall liquidity and market depth/volume ratio, volumes included, if exchange is low volume (below 2M USD volume 24h)
Based on web traffic (20%) - using Alexa rank as a main indicator of site popularity
Based on regulation (5%) - researching and evaluating licensing for exchange - by respective institutions
Adding all of these subscores give overall main result - Confidence
Confidence is mainly based on liquidity, because it's the most important aspect of cryptocurrency exchanges. Without liquidity there is no trading, illiquid markets tend to collapse in the long term. Besides liquidity - there is also an additional factor in calculation of score - market depth/volume ratio. If volume is huge (especially when it’s growing much faster than liquidity), and market depth seems to not keep pace with - it's reducing overall score. Exchanges that keep market makers liquidity with expanding volume are those that keep all ratios in-tact and have overall score above 75-80% (it means that they have all liquidity ratios above minimum requirements, high web traffic participation, and are often regulated).

Historical Market Depth is showing the history of liquidity from the markets for a given asset. It’s a measure of combined liquidity from all integrated markets on the coinpaprika’s market depth module.
