About Global Adversity Project

The idea for the Global Adversity Project was originally founded in May 2021.

After investing in numerous tokens throughout their time, the GAP Team found themselves investing more and more in charity related tokens, as they served a dual purpose. First, and foremost, they had a good cause behind them and second, it allowed them to make investments into something that was trying to make a difference in the world.

Between the meme tokens and the charity tokens, it was noticed that there were certain areas that just weren’t being represented and that they felt were quite important. With several members of the team working with individuals who have disabilities, having family members with a disability or simply knowing someone with a disability, it was a place that touched ‘home’ for them.

But why the Global Adversity Project? Well, one of the definitions of ‘adversity’ is ‘difficulties’, it’s a ‘project’ and they want it to be ‘global’. Individuals with disabilities, whether they be mental, physical or intellectual, face more difficulties in the world then those who may not have a disability.
