Kraken xStocks Lists VCXx Token for Private Tech Firms

Kraken and Fundrise launch VCXx token

On 27 March 2026, Kraken's tokenized stock platform xStocks listed a new asset called VCXx. The token is backed by the Fundrise Innovation Fund, a financial product traded on the New York Stock Exchange under the ticker VCX. Tokenization means a real-world asset is represented as a digital token on a blockchain — a distributed digital ledger. The asset is issued by Backed Assets (JE) Limited and offered through Payward Digital Solutions Ltd., Kraken's parent company.

"This partnership brings onchain access to a diversified portfolio of high-growth private technology companies, including SpaceX, OpenAI, Anthropic, and Databricks, through a single tokenized asset, the VCXx asset.", 26 March 2026. — xStocks Team, Corporate Statement, Kraken

Token exposes investors to private tech companies

VCXx gives holders indirect exposure to four private technology companies: SpaceX, OpenAI, Anthropic, and Databricks. None of these companies trade on public stock exchanges. The token tracks the Fundrise Innovation Fund, which holds positions in all four firms. Investors buy one token instead of accessing each company separately.

Asset restricted to non-US markets

VCXx is not available to investors based in the United States. Payward Digital Solutions Ltd. offers the token exclusively in non-US markets. The xStocks platform does not serve US-based investors.

xStocks platform reports volume and holder figures

Kraken reports that the xStocks platform has processed over $25 billion in transaction volume since launch. The platform also reports more than 100,000 unique token holders and lists over 100 tokenized stocks and exchange-traded funds (ETFs). An ETF is a financial product that tracks a basket of assets and trades on an exchange. These figures come from Kraken's own reporting and have not been independently audited.
