Montenegrin Court Approves Do Kwon’s Extradition

Ex-Terra founder Do Kwon faces extradition to US or South Korea after arrest in Montenegro; co-founder Daniel Shin is charged in a related case.

A Court in Montenegrin approved the extradition of the former Terra founder Do Kwon to South Korea or the US. Do  Kwon was arrested in March at Podgorica's airport using fake documents. It was reported that the Montenegrin Justice Minister will decide on his extradition after he serves a four-month prison sentence for document forgery.

Kwon faces fraud charges in the U.S. and is under investigation in South Korea due to the collapse of terraUSD last year. Do Kwon is in Montenegrin prison serving a 4 months sentence for document forgery.

The co-founder of Terraform Labs Daniel Shin was recently charged in South Korea for breaking capital markets laws, with $185 million in his assets frozen. Shin has denied playing any role in Terraform Lab's collapse.
