Coinbase Announces New Feature: Transfer Your Crypto Via Social media

Coinbase Wallet introduced a new feature allowing users to transfer cryptocurrencies easily through links shared on social media or email. This update was announced in a December 5 blog post, this feature is reported to support platforms like WhatsApp, iMessage, Telegram, and major social media apps.

The feature allows users to make instant payments and pay zero fees when making USD Coin (USDC) transfers, simplifying the process without the need for bank details or waiting for 5 working days before funds clearance. Users can send money directly through popular social networks and messaging apps.

Creating and sharing a transfer link is straightforward with Coinbase Wallet, especially since the Coinbase app is accessible in 20 languages and over 170 countries. The service supports various platforms, including WhatsApp, iMessage, Telegram, Facebook, Snapchat, TikTok, Instagram, and email.

With this feature, Coinbase aims to simplify money transfers, cheaper, and more accessible globally, contributing to widespread cryptoeconomy engagement.

For security reasons, Coinbase stated that If funds sent via the link are unclaimed after two weeks, they automatically return to the sender. For those less familiar with technology, Coinbase Wallet offers a "simple mode" focusing on key functions like buying, sending, receiving, and viewing assets.

Cryptocurrencies are highly volatile and involve significant risk. You may lose part or all of your investment.
