Co-founder of the crypto project ONFO coin, Dr. John Forsyth, was found dead from a gunshot wound a week after his sudden disappearance, with police not currently suspecting foul play.

Dr. John Forsyth, co-founder of the ONFO coin referral-based crypto project and emergency room physician, was found dead from a gunshot wound a week after going missing. He had not shown up for work at Mercy Hospital in Cassville, Missouri, and his relatives reported his disappearance. His brother, Richard Forsyth, noted John's missing shift as alarming.

His car was found near the hospital, with his personal belongings, including his cell phones, intact inside. Richard Forsyth commented to the Associated Press that it didn't seem like his brother had planned to disappear.

John Forsyth's body was discovered south of his last known location on May 30. Despite the suspicious circumstances, police currently do not suspect foul play.

John and Richard Forsyth founded the ONFO coin in 2020, a project that allows users to earn coins by referring others to the platform. The project has gained attention for its videos predicting the fall of the U.S. dollar, although no new content has been shared for a year.

Forbes once dubbed John Forsyth a "Bitcoin millionaire" who had an early exposure to Bitcoin and blockchain technology. His death adds to the number of crypto enthusiasts and founders who have met untimely ends.

In April, Bob Lee, the creator of Cash App and former tech lead at Square, was fatally stabbed. An arrest was made on April 13, but the motive remains undisclosed.
