What is SNAP?
SNAP is a cryptocurrency that operates as a token on the Ethereum blockchain. It is primarily designed for facilitating transactions within its ecosystem, aiming to enhance user engagement and reward participation in various blockchain-based activities. The SNAP token is used for payments, incentivizing users, and supporting decentralized applications (dApps) within the platform, making it a vital component of this innovative blockchain project.
When and how did SNAP start?
SNAP was launched in 2021 as a decentralized finance (DeFi) project aimed at enhancing user engagement through innovative reward mechanisms. Developed by a team of anonymous developers, SNAP quickly gained traction within the crypto community. It was initially listed on several decentralized exchanges, contributing to its early adoption and visibility in the market. The project focuses on community-driven initiatives, which have shaped its growth and user base since its inception.
What’s coming up for SNAP?
Snap (NAP-SNAP) is gearing up for an exciting phase as it progresses through its roadmap, which includes the upcoming launch of its decentralized finance (DeFi) platform aimed at enhancing user engagement. The next upgrade is set to introduce staking features, allowing holders to earn rewards while contributing to network security. Additionally, the community plans to host a series of educational webinars to foster understanding and adoption of SNAP's use cases. As SNAP evolves, it aims to expand its ecosystem, focusing on partnerships that enhance utility and drive community growth.
What makes SNAP stand out?
SNAP stands out from other cryptocurrencies due to its unique consensus mechanism, which combines Proof of Stake with a novel staking rewards model that incentivizes long-term holding. Compared to traditional cryptocurrencies, SNAP's ecosystem features real-world use cases in decentralized finance (DeFi) and social impact projects, allowing users to engage in community-driven initiatives while earning rewards. This special feature enhances its appeal as a versatile and socially responsible digital asset.
What can you do with SNAP?
SNAP is primarily used for payments within various platforms, enabling seamless transactions. Additionally, it serves as a utility token for staking, allowing users to earn rewards while participating in DeFi apps and governance decisions. SNAP also facilitates access to NFTs, enhancing its utility across digital ecosystems.
Is SNAP still active or relevant?
SNAP is currently active, with ongoing development and a dedicated community presence. It is still traded on several platforms, reflecting consistent trading activity. However, some concerns about its long-term viability have been raised, but it has not been classified as an inactive project or abandoned.

Its target audience includes game developers looking to integrate cryptocurrency solutions into their projects and gamers seeking innovative ways to engage with their favorite titles. This platform fosters a vibrant ecosystem where users can interact, trade, and participate in decentralized gaming initiatives.
How is SNAP secured?
SNAP secures its network through a unique consensus mechanism known as Proof of Stake (PoS), where validators are selected to create new blocks based on the number of tokens they hold and are willing to "stake" as collateral. This approach enhances network security by incentivizing honest participation and reducing the risk of malicious attacks, while also ensuring efficient blockchain protection and scalability. Validators play a crucial role in maintaining the integrity of the SNAP blockchain by validating transactions and securing the network against potential threats.
Has SNAP faced any controversy or risks?
SNAP has faced significant challenges, including concerns over extreme volatility that can lead to rapid price fluctuations. Additionally, the project has been scrutinized for potential security incidents and risks of rug pulls, raising alarms among investors about the safety of their funds. What is Market depth?
Market depth is a metric, which is showing the real liquidity of the markets. Due to rampant wash-trading and fake activity - volume currently isn't the most reliable indicator in the crypto space.
What is it measuring?
It's measuring 1% or 10% section of the order book from the midpoint price (1%/10% of the buy orders, and 1%/10% of the sell orders).

Why it is important to use only 1% or 10%?
It's important, because measurement of the whole order book is going to give false results due to extreme values, which can make false illusion of liquidity for a given market.
How to use it?
By default Market depth is showing the most liquid markets sorted by Combined Orders (which is a sum of buy and sell orders). This way it provides the most interesting information already. Left (green) side of the market depth bar is showing how many buy orders are open, and right (red) side of the bar is showing how many sell orders are open (both can be recalculated to BTC, ETH or any fiat we have available on the site).

Confidence
Due to rampant malicious practices in the crypto exchanges environment, we have introduced in 2019 and 2020 new ways of evaluating exchanges and one of them is - Confidence. Because it's a new metric - it's essential to know how it works.
Confidence is weighted based on 3 principles:
Based on the liquidity from order books (75%) - including overall liquidity and market depth/volume ratio, volumes included, if exchange is low volume (below 2M USD volume 24h)
Based on web traffic (20%) - using Alexa rank as a main indicator of site popularity
Based on regulation (5%) - researching and evaluating licensing for exchange - by respective institutions
Adding all of these subscores give overall main result - Confidence
Confidence is mainly based on liquidity, because it's the most important aspect of cryptocurrency exchanges. Without liquidity there is no trading, illiquid markets tend to collapse in the long term. Besides liquidity - there is also an additional factor in calculation of score - market depth/volume ratio. If volume is huge (especially when it’s growing much faster than liquidity), and market depth seems to not keep pace with - it's reducing overall score. Exchanges that keep market makers liquidity with expanding volume are those that keep all ratios in-tact and have overall score above 75-80% (it means that they have all liquidity ratios above minimum requirements, high web traffic participation, and are often regulated).
