What is BlueMove?
BlueMove (MOVE) is a decentralized marketplace and NFT platform launched in 2022 by a team of blockchain enthusiasts. It was created to facilitate the buying, selling, and trading of non-fungible tokens (NFTs) while providing users with a seamless and user-friendly experience. The project operates on the Ethereum blockchain, utilizing smart contracts to enable secure and transparent transactions. Its native token, MOVE, serves multiple purposes within the ecosystem, including transaction fees, staking rewards, and governance, allowing holders to participate in decision-making processes related to the platform's development and features. BlueMove stands out for its focus on enhancing the NFT trading experience through innovative features such as cross-chain compatibility and a robust user interface. This positions it as a significant player in the growing NFT market, catering to both creators and collectors looking for a reliable platform to engage with digital assets.
When and how did BlueMove start?
BlueMove originated in March 2022 when the founding team released its whitepaper, outlining the project's vision and technical framework. The project launched its testnet in June 2022, allowing developers and early adopters to experiment with the platform's features and functionalities. Following successful testing, BlueMove transitioned to its mainnet launch in September 2022, marking its official entry into the market. Early development focused on creating a decentralized marketplace for NFTs, aiming to enhance user experience and accessibility within the blockchain ecosystem. The token's initial distribution occurred through a fair launch model in October 2022, which facilitated community participation and engagement from the outset. These foundational steps established BlueMove's growth trajectory and laid the groundwork for its evolving ecosystem.
What’s coming up for BlueMove?
According to official updates, BlueMove is preparing for a significant protocol upgrade aimed at enhancing user experience and transaction efficiency, scheduled for Q1 2024. This upgrade will introduce new features designed to streamline operations within the BlueMove ecosystem. Additionally, the team is working on integrating with several key partners to expand its market reach, with targeted partnerships expected to be announced in the coming months. These initiatives are part of BlueMove's broader strategy to improve scalability and user engagement, with progress being monitored through their official roadmap and community updates.

These indicators, including consistent updates, active governance participation, and ongoing integrations, support BlueMove's relevance in the cryptocurrency space, particularly within the decentralized finance sector.
Who is BlueMove designed for?
BlueMove is designed for developers and consumers, enabling them to engage with a decentralized marketplace for NFTs and digital assets. It provides tools and resources, including user-friendly wallets and APIs, to facilitate the creation, trading, and management of digital collectibles. The platform aims to empower creators by offering them a space to showcase their work and monetize their digital assets effectively. Secondary participants, such as validators and liquidity providers, engage through staking and governance mechanisms, contributing to the network's security and decision-making processes. This collaborative environment fosters a vibrant ecosystem where all participants can thrive, aligning with BlueMove's mission to enhance accessibility and usability in the NFT space. By catering to both primary and secondary users, BlueMove supports a diverse range of activities, from development to trading, ultimately enriching the overall user experience.
How is BlueMove secured?
BlueMove employs a Proof of Stake (PoS) consensus mechanism, where validators are responsible for confirming transactions and maintaining the integrity of the network. This model allows participants to stake their tokens, which not only secures the network but also incentivizes them to act honestly. Validators are selected to propose and validate new blocks based on the amount of cryptocurrency they hold and are willing to lock up as collateral. The protocol utilizes advanced cryptographic techniques, including Elliptic Curve Digital Signature Algorithm (ECDSA), to ensure secure authentication and data integrity. This cryptography safeguards transactions against unauthorized alterations and ensures that only legitimate participants can validate transactions. Incentives are aligned through staking rewards, which are distributed to validators for their contributions to the network. To discourage malicious behavior, the protocol implements slashing penalties, which can result in the loss of staked tokens if a validator acts dishonestly or fails to perform their duties. Additional security measures include regular audits and governance processes that enhance the network's resilience and adaptability to potential threats.
Has BlueMove faced any controversy or risks?
BlueMove has faced some risks associated with the broader challenges in the blockchain space, particularly regarding security and regulatory compliance. In early 2023, the platform encountered a technical vulnerability that raised concerns about the integrity of its smart contracts. The team promptly addressed this issue by implementing a patch and conducting a thorough audit of their codebase to ensure the security of user funds. Additionally, BlueMove has navigated regulatory scrutiny as governments worldwide tighten their oversight of cryptocurrency projects. The team has been proactive in engaging with legal experts to ensure compliance with applicable regulations, thereby mitigating potential legal risks. Ongoing risks for BlueMove include market volatility and the inherent technical challenges associated with decentralized finance (DeFi) platforms. To address these, the project has established a robust development practice that includes regular audits and a transparent communication strategy with its community. This approach aims to maintain user trust and ensure the platform's resilience against future risks.

What is Market depth?
Market depth is a metric, which is showing the real liquidity of the markets. Due to rampant wash-trading and fake activity - volume currently isn't the most reliable indicator in the crypto space.
What is it measuring?
It's measuring 1% or 10% section of the order book from the midpoint price (1%/10% of the buy orders, and 1%/10% of the sell orders).

Why it is important to use only 1% or 10%?
It's important, because measurement of the whole order book is going to give false results due to extreme values, which can make false illusion of liquidity for a given market.
How to use it?
By default Market depth is showing the most liquid markets sorted by Combined Orders (which is a sum of buy and sell orders). This way it provides the most interesting information already. Left (green) side of the market depth bar is showing how many buy orders are open, and right (red) side of the bar is showing how many sell orders are open (both can be recalculated to BTC, ETH or any fiat we have available on the site).

Confidence
Due to rampant malicious practices in the crypto exchanges environment, we have introduced in 2019 and 2020 new ways of evaluating exchanges and one of them is - Confidence. Because it's a new metric - it's essential to know how it works.
Confidence is weighted based on 3 principles:
Based on the liquidity from order books (75%) - including overall liquidity and market depth/volume ratio, volumes included, if exchange is low volume (below 2M USD volume 24h)
Based on web traffic (20%) - using Alexa rank as a main indicator of site popularity
Based on regulation (5%) - researching and evaluating licensing for exchange - by respective institutions
Adding all of these subscores give overall main result - Confidence
Confidence is mainly based on liquidity, because it's the most important aspect of cryptocurrency exchanges. Without liquidity there is no trading, illiquid markets tend to collapse in the long term. Besides liquidity - there is also an additional factor in calculation of score - market depth/volume ratio. If volume is huge (especially when it’s growing much faster than liquidity), and market depth seems to not keep pace with - it's reducing overall score. Exchanges that keep market makers liquidity with expanding volume are those that keep all ratios in-tact and have overall score above 75-80% (it means that they have all liquidity ratios above minimum requirements, high web traffic participation, and are often regulated).

Historical Market Depth is showing the history of liquidity from the markets for a given asset. It’s a measure of combined liquidity from all integrated markets on the coinpaprika’s market depth module.
