What is Ignition FBTC?
Ignition FBTC (FBTC) is a cryptocurrency project focusing on providing a decentralized financial ecosystem. Launched in 2018, it aims to enhance the functionality and accessibility of digital assets. The project is built on its native blockchain, utilizing a proof-of-stake consensus mechanism to secure transactions and validate blocks efficiently. The native token, FBTC, serves multiple roles within the ecosystem, including staking, which allows users to participate in network security and earn rewards. Additionally, FBTC is used for transaction fees and governance, enabling token holders to influence the project's development and decision-making processes. Ignition FBTC distinguishes itself through its emphasis on security and community governance, offering a platform where users can actively participate in shaping the future of the network. This focus on decentralization and user involvement positions Ignition FBTC as a noteworthy player in the cryptocurrency space, especially for those interested in community-driven projects.
When and how did Ignition FBTC start?
Ignition FBTC originated in 2018 when its founding team released the project's initial whitepaper, outlining its vision and technical foundations. The project aimed to enhance certain aspects of the Bitcoin protocol, focusing on improvements in security and transaction efficiency. A testnet was launched shortly after the whitepaper's release, providing a platform for developers to experiment and refine the technology before its wider deployment. The mainnet went live later in 2018, marking the project's transition to a fully operational status. The initial distribution of Ignition FBTC tokens was conducted through a fair launch model, emphasizing community involvement and decentralization. These foundational steps set the stage for Ignition FBTC's ongoing development and integration into the broader cryptocurrency ecosystem.

Is Ignition FBTC still active or relevant?
Ignition FBTC's activity and relevance can be assessed through its current development and market presence. As of the latest available information, the project has not shown significant recent updates or announcements, which may indicate a lack of active development or community engagement. The absence of new releases or upgrades suggests that the project might not be prioritizing innovation or feature enhancements at this time. Additionally, Ignition FBTC's trading volume and exchange listings are limited, which could imply reduced market interest and integration within the broader cryptocurrency ecosystem. Without notable integrations or partnerships, the project's relevance within its category or sector may be diminishing. Overall, while Ignition FBTC may still be operational, its current level of activity and relevance appears to be low based on the available indicators. This assessment highlights the importance of ongoing development and community engagement for maintaining a project's prominence in the cryptocurrency space.
Who is Ignition FBTC designed for?
Ignition FBTC is designed for developers and cryptocurrency enthusiasts who are interested in exploring innovative blockchain solutions. It enables them to engage with a platform that focuses on enhancing digital currency functionality. The project provides tools and resources, such as APIs and developer documentation, to support application development and integration. Secondary participants, including validators and network operators, contribute to the ecosystem through activities like staking and governance. This involvement helps maintain network security and efficiency, fostering a collaborative environment for all users.
How is Ignition FBTC secured?
Ignition FBTC uses a Proof-of-Stake (PoS) consensus mechanism where validators are responsible for confirming transactions and maintaining the integrity of the network. Validators are required to lock up a certain amount of the network’s native tokens as collateral, which aligns their incentives with the network’s security. The protocol employs cryptographic techniques such as ECDSA (Elliptic Curve Digital Signature Algorithm) to ensure authentication and data integrity. To discourage malicious behavior, the network implements a slashing mechanism that penalizes validators for dishonest or faulty activities, thereby enhancing security. Additional safeguards include periodic audits and a governance process that allows stakeholders to participate in decision-making, further contributing to the network's resilience and robustness.
Has Ignition FBTC faced any controversy or risks?
Ignition FBTC has faced certain risks primarily related to technical and community factors. There have been concerns about potential vulnerabilities in its blockchain infrastructure, which are common in the cryptocurrency space. To address these issues, the team has implemented security patches and conducted regular audits to ensure the robustness of the network. Additionally, any incidents have been met with transparency, often involving community discussions to decide on the best course of action, such as governance decisions or upgrades. Regulatory challenges also pose a risk, as with many cryptocurrencies, due to evolving legal frameworks worldwide. Ignition FBTC has been proactive in monitoring these changes and adapting its compliance measures accordingly. The project continues to face ongoing risks typical in the blockchain industry, such as market volatility and technical vulnerabilities. These are mitigated through diligent development practices, continuous security assessments, and active community engagement to maintain system integrity and trust.

What is Market depth?
Market depth is a metric, which is showing the real liquidity of the markets. Due to rampant wash-trading and fake activity - volume currently isn't the most reliable indicator in the crypto space.
What is it measuring?
It's measuring 1% or 10% section of the order book from the midpoint price (1%/10% of the buy orders, and 1%/10% of the sell orders).

Why it is important to use only 1% or 10%?
It's important, because measurement of the whole order book is going to give false results due to extreme values, which can make false illusion of liquidity for a given market.
How to use it?
By default Market depth is showing the most liquid markets sorted by Combined Orders (which is a sum of buy and sell orders). This way it provides the most interesting information already. Left (green) side of the market depth bar is showing how many buy orders are open, and right (red) side of the bar is showing how many sell orders are open (both can be recalculated to BTC, ETH or any fiat we have available on the site).

Confidence
Due to rampant malicious practices in the crypto exchanges environment, we have introduced in 2019 and 2020 new ways of evaluating exchanges and one of them is - Confidence. Because it's a new metric - it's essential to know how it works.
Confidence is weighted based on 3 principles:
Based on the liquidity from order books (75%) - including overall liquidity and market depth/volume ratio, volumes included, if exchange is low volume (below 2M USD volume 24h)
Based on web traffic (20%) - using Alexa rank as a main indicator of site popularity
Based on regulation (5%) - researching and evaluating licensing for exchange - by respective institutions
Adding all of these subscores give overall main result - Confidence
Confidence is mainly based on liquidity, because it's the most important aspect of cryptocurrency exchanges. Without liquidity there is no trading, illiquid markets tend to collapse in the long term. Besides liquidity - there is also an additional factor in calculation of score - market depth/volume ratio. If volume is huge (especially when it’s growing much faster than liquidity), and market depth seems to not keep pace with - it's reducing overall score. Exchanges that keep market makers liquidity with expanding volume are those that keep all ratios in-tact and have overall score above 75-80% (it means that they have all liquidity ratios above minimum requirements, high web traffic participation, and are often regulated).
